Sailing Quixote
I purchased Quixote in November 2023. I previously owned a 46’ Hylas that was an absolute beautiful boat, but I wanted something bigger that I could explore the world in, live-aboard and share the sailing lifestyle with others. At 87’ total length, Quixote was perfect. I immediately fell in love with her as soon as I stepped aboard for the first time. Quixote is a true exploration motorsailer built in 1989 by Cheoylee Yacht Builders in Taiwan. Being only 1 of 3 of these built, Quixote is an extremely unique yacht. I am in the process of a complete refit that will last the next 3-5 years and then I will sail Quixote around the world with no end-date. Here are some quick stats: Length Overall - 87’, Hull Length - 78’, Propulsion - Twin Cummins 220HP, Power - Twin 27K Onan Generators, Staterooms/Heads - 5, Draft - 7’ 3”, Beam 21’, Ketch Rig, Fuel Capacity - 3500g Water Capacity - 1800g
